Today is a very exciting day for me...the launch of my website!! www.englexasphotography.com!! ;) go check it out and feel free to email any constructive criticism to debbie@englexasphotography.com
i had such a fun session with my good friends kent and roberta. We drove around Angleton together scouting out some locations and hearing their proposal story that was *almost* ruined by the premature congratulations from the waiters! here are just a few tasters of our awesome day ;)
I am sooooo very excited that my new Canon 5D is here! I already had a photoshoot which I'm editing right now and can't wait to share! I believe that this is totally going to take my photography to the next level, and my website is coming soon!
So if anyone is in the Houston/Sugar Land area and needs maternity/newborn/seniors/e-session photoshoots...contact me ;)
i posted a few teasers but i wanted to update my completed pictures of josiah. my first newborn session is done! yeah me! now onto finishing editing for my first 2 e-sessions!
i found an amazing location for a shoot here in sugar land and was just itching to do a shoot out there..."tada!!" in step my gorgeous friends john+joi, who never got to have engagement pictures so i was happy to help, keep a look-out for an upcoming bridal shoot with joi! :)
yesterday i did my first newborn shoot with my 7 day new nephew. it was quite the experience and has helped me grow as a photographer. he hated being uncovered and woke up every time we took the blankets off him! Here are the first from the shoot, i'm editing the rest asap ;)
last saturday i had the honor of shooting my best friends, nick and lyndie and their children lily and caleb. It was a bittersweet time because they are moving to chicago at the beginning of next month but spending time with them was, and always is a blast! they are amazing people and i love them dearly - and they all have the most awesome blue eyes!! ;)
see what i mean about the eyes?!
when i saw this i heard the quote "nobody knows it, but you've got a secret smile, and you use it only for me"
i hated the background but loved her, so i tried a new texture thing ;)
baby caleb
everytime lily saw the camera she said "cheese!" - she's a natural!
Yesterday was supposed to be the day of an e-session I've been looking forward to for a while but it got cancelled at the last minute? So what did I do? I took my little boy out for his own little photoshoot. I have to say, having a 15-month old is sit and smile for a photograph is basically impossible, you would think having a photographer as a mum, my son would know that you're supposed to look at the camera and smile! It was fun to play around with him though! Here are the best of our day together.
This was his 'pose' if he was looking at the camera, he was trying to grab it!
My Valentine's day was wonderful...my husband sent me on a scavenger hunt! It started out with breakfast at Panera Bread. Then a manicure, pedicure and the my first ever facial in 24 years on this earth - how I made it that long without one I will never know, but it won't be 24 more years until my next ;). Then I got to go SHOPPING! Then we had a wonderful dinner at Japaneiro's...true bliss! And what would valentine's day be without new red shoes!!
I'm also getting some lighting/editing practice in with self portraits:
Here are some pictures from the wedding of some very dear friends, and the first wedding ceremony held at LCMF. It was a pleasure for Gabriel and I to capture their special day.
